You’re a powerful person I don’t know how to explain it
You’re crushing me but I don’t mind it
You’re spinning out of control and I know I can’t stop it
Is that a drum coming down the highway
Is that a divide in the road
Is this the end or just a dwindling start
Am I swimming with these sounds
Am I becoming another guest at the table
Am I leaving you in the cradle

I keep having these dreams, of a boat approaching the shore
Of an island where all the girls want so much more
The jellyfish are rolling in countless shades of red
I’m covering my face in the remnants
The static man is trapped on a beach
He used to be afraid but now he is free
He bears witness to a captain and his breed
Just as soon as they came, they left with the waves
Cosmic children greet me at the ports
Wide in their smiles I meet with their memories
Of a choir so sweet, a choir so beautiful
It came from the sea they said, it came from the sea

The boardwalk is brimming with crooked teeth and intricacies
The waves, self destructive in nature, give the seagulls a new song to sing
I’m growing tired of this prolonged violence, the constant vibration of conversation
Hand painted horses, corralled to the beach, an instant explosion expanding past our feet
A touch of warmth, a momentary embrace, the clouds seemed to be falling out of place
Elongated faces and dripping eyes, I saw every second from the carnival ride, there was laughter crawling to the sky
